The Stewards fined the following trainer in respect of their non-runner:-

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

A. Ring, rider of Outofcologne trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was never travelling from the start and consequently was pulled up.

D.E. Mullins, rider of Battling Boru trained by Anthony Mullins, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was outpaced from the start and idled when becoming detached from the other runners.

The Stewards interviewed P. Carberry, rider of Abarta, concerning his use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that P. Carberry was in breach of R10(4) by failing to give his mount time to respond to the whip and consequently suspended him for 3 racedays having taken his previous record into consideration.

Mr F. Maguire, rider of Strabar, trained by J.R. Hagan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his saddle slipped with a circuit to run and eventually he was unseated from his mount near the finish.
